Joseph Ira Bodenstadt, 62, of Alpine died Friday. He was born in Atwater, Ohio, and was a bricklayer and foreman. He was a member of Bricklayers Union Local 11.
Survivors include his daughter, Christie Iraci of El Cajon; son, Joseph Bodenstadt Jr. of Rancho Cucamonga; mother, Sally Bodenstadt of La Mesa; sisters, Pricilla Climes of Stover, Mo., Mary Leash of St. Maries, Idaho, Marty Beaudet of Sterling Heights, Mich., and Frankie Pearce of La Mesa; brothers, Bill Bodenstadt Jr. and Tim Bodenstadt of La Mesa; and five grandchildren.
Visitation: 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, El Cajon Mortuary, 684 S. Mollison Ave., El Cajon.
Services: 10 a.m. Friday at the mortuary.
Interment: after services, Alpine Cemetery, 2495 Victoria Drive, Alpine.
Residing in San Diego, Calif. 60 years. Graduated from Saint Agustine High School. He was a member of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local #4 for 40 years. Joe passed away at his home in Alpine.
