Mrs. J. H. Deadmond ALDEN- Mrs. Laura Alice Deadmond died at Modesto, Calif., early Friday. She was a former resident of Alden, leaving here four years ago. Mrs. Deadmond was born March 13, 1891, in Fulton County, Pa., and had lived in Alden many years.
Surviving are the widower; five daughters, Mrs. Hazel Southerland, Modesto; Mrs. Thelma Brookman, Seattle; Mrs. Ethel Caston, Anchorage, Alaska; Mrs Irene Reynolds, El Dorado; Mrs. Grace' Detter, Roswell, N. M.; two sons, Elmer and Blake, Modesto; four brothers, Charles and William Ritz, Fulton County; Harry and Elmer Ritz, in Kentucky; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Stotler, Fulton County; Mrs. Mabel Gunnnels and Phoebe Ritz, both of Miami, Fla.; 15 grandchildren. Three great- grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at the Porter Chapel, Sterling, at 2 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Enns officiating. Burial will be in
Peace Valley Cemetery.
