Mrs. Martha Jane Lavielle of Plevna died late Saturday in Grace Hospital where she had been a patient 11 months.
She was born in Oden, Ill., Feb. 20, 1869, and had lived in Reno County since she was 14 years old.
She was married to Bernard Lavielle, Dec 10, 1889. Surviving are three sons, Ernest, Elkhart; Marcel, Hutchinson, and Erwin, Salina; two daughters, Mrs. Ora Merrett, Modesto, Calif., and Mrs. Nellie Zimmerman, Modesto; three sisters, Mrs. Lavina Baker, Plevna; Mrs. Loretta Burch and Mrs. Susie Atwood, Modesto; 18 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Porter Chapel in Sterling with Rev. Arthur Enns officiating. Burial will be in Peace Valley Cemetery.
