Family History: Ruth Davis Anderson was the second child of Edward J. Davis and Jennie Dredge Davis. She was born November 11, 1892 in the Banner Community.
She graduated from Banner High School and for a time at Campbell College. She was a teacher in the rural schools of Jackson County.
She married Leslie Anderson on the 26 December, 1917 and they made their home near Holton, Ks. In 1935, they moved to Forest City, Mo. and in 1938 moved with their five children to Toppenish, Washington. In 1944 they returned to Holton, living there until the death of Leslie. Ruth with her youngest son William returned to Washington in 1945.
Ruth passed away on April 16, 1957 in Washington.
She is survived by her five children, Marjorie Songer, Leslie Davis Anderson, Elon Maurice Anderson, Dorothy Thornburg and William Edward Anderson.
She is laid to rest in the Holton Cemetery, Holton, Kansas.
