Born in Birmingham England, she came to Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1916 traveling on a ship called the Missanabie. Her Mother and sister had gone before her in 1913 and she traveled with a family named Edwards to meet her family.

She grew up in Toronto, working at Simson-Sears as a salesperson until she turned 18 when she left Toronto and moved to Windsor, Ontario, Canada. She married James Whittle at 19 but they seperated after a couple of years. Somewhere during this time she changed the spelling of her first name to Marjorie. She worked as a welder in Windsor during WWII where she welded the front end of Army jeeps for the war effort and for Fords Motor Company of Detroit MI.

Her favorite song was: "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas" from the movie Holiday Inn from 1942. It was to become the song that belonged to her and the one great love of her life Glenn Augustus Foster. "Stockroom"

She left Windsor in March 1955 to move to California due to her daughters illness. She remarried Lawrence Bussey in April 1956 and went on to own her own drive in restaurant called 'Hi Burger' on the corner of Orange Grove and Gary Ave in Pomona CA.

She retired in 1972 and was able to enjoy spending time with her daughter and grandson and working around her home and garden.

Cause of death: Cancer
