[Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Tidwell Gower, 85, were held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Bennett-May Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Mack Pinkelton, Baptist minister. Burial took place in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Mrs. Gower died Sunday, October 27, in Giles County Hospital. #A native of Giles County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Tidwell and Harriet Wiley Tidwell. #Mrs. Gower is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. #Bennett-May Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.]
NOTE: Son, Raymond Selwyn Gower, pre-deceased his mother in 1918.
Sister, Lizzie May Tidwell Griffin, died in 1923; brother, Samuel Hardin Tidwell died in 1959; and brother, Joseph Johnson Tidwell died in 1962.
