Rhett Butler played Rex in the hugely popular Austrian television series 'Kommissar Rex' (Inspector Rex) from 1999 - 2004. He first made his debut in the full length feature film 'Baby Rex: The Little Inspector' as a puppy. But he soon took over the role of Rex when Santo vom Haus Zieglmayer retired at the age of 6 years. He played along side co-star Gedeon Burkhard and like ‘Beejay’ he was trained by owner/trainer Teresa Ann Miller.
Rhett soon retired a few years later and died of old age in February of 2011.
He passed away at home surrounded by his owner, Teresa.
