Joan F. Gondzur, 84, of Westville, passed away at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at her home.
She was born in Ottumwa, Iowa to Charles and Margaret MacDowell Deknuydt. She married George J. Gondzur on June 18, 1949 in Westville, Il. He survives.
She is also survived by her children, Gary (Judy) Gondzur of Houston, Texas, Raymond (Donna) Gondzur of Louisville, Ky., Nancy Gondzur of Madison, Wisconsin, Chris (Lisa) Gondzur of Westville, Jim (Pam) Gondzur of Louisville, Ky., Madonna (Chris) Poggendorf of Westville and Andrew (Anjanette) Gondzur of St. Louis, Mo.; her grandchildren, Geoffrey Gondzur, Mitch Gondzur, Matt Caston, Nick Gondzur, Lauren Gondzur, Aaron (Julie) Gondzur, Ryan (Ashley) Gondzur, Lynnse Gondzur, Bailee Poggendorf, Taylor Poggendorf, Alex Gondzur, Meredith Diddens, Jesse Gondzur, Claire Gondzur and Benjamin Gondzur; her great grandchildren, Lydia and Lani Gondzur and her sister, LaVonne (John) Hart of Westville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Adeline Strako.
