Thomas "Allen" Basham, 45, of Shawsville, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016. He was preceded in death by his father, Ward Thomas Basham; uncle, Paul Yates; and sister, Becky Blomberg. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, and the son he adored, Noah Basham; his mother, Betty Yates Basham; his sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Jay Shepherd; Russell McCauley and Ethan Feury; many nieces and nephews, along with many other family and friends. Allen had a true love for nature and being outdoors. He had a great pride for his work ethic. He never met a stranger. Hew was loved by many in the community, and well always be remembered by his interactions with others and the enjoyment for storytelling. Graveside Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5,2016, at the White Cemetery in Shawsville. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 3, 2016, at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem.
