Hugh "Petey" Peters was born in Washington, DC on June 4, 1950, but grew up in Philadelphia, PA. As a young boy, he loved baseball, and often played pick-up games at the "Rhode's Yard," a real-life "Field of Dreams" in the neighborhood. Petey was a great musician who could play nearly any instrument he picked up. His first love was the guitar, and he spread his affinity for music to all who knew him.

Petey had many challenges in his life, and did his best to overcome them. We are thankful that he was able to die at home with his loving wife Pearl at his side. We pray that in death, he knows the peace that was so difficult for him to find in life. He is deeply loved, and will be missed.

He is survived by his darling wife Pearl of their home in Annville, PA; his daughter Melissa, and granddaughter Catherine, both of Philadelphia. He is also survived by his brother Harry, and sisters Gillian, Sarah, Becky, Mary, and Rachel.

Petey was preceded in death by his son, Hugh, and brothers Tad and Larry, and a sister, Melissa Jane.
