He was afflicted with polio in his 7 years of ages, this terrifying and incurable disease left him paralyzed in his legs and caused him relying on crutches. But his physical imperfection had not slowed him down. He worked really hard and tiredlessly with his heart was full of love to those who live in misserable lives.
He died of heart attack at Fountain Valley Medical Regional Hospital few days before Christmas 2013. He was preceded in death by his father Bay Ngoc Nguyen, a wonderful Doctor who treated people diligently during Vietnam war. He is survived by his young and beautiful wife Bebe Hoang Thanh Vu, his mother Nhung thi Nguyen, a high school teacher, his three siblings and many nieces and nephews.
Viet Dzung will be loved and missed by millions Vietnamese around the world. His funeral visited by thousands attendees. One of them said "Viet Dzung is a precious treasure. His voice is as familiar to us as his heart".
My many thanks sent up to heaven to Viet Dzung. May his sweet, gentle spirit enjoy heavenly peace with his father, Dr. Bay Ngoc Nguyen and Angels.
