New York City Firefighter. Jimmy was born March 23,1972 to Demitrios and Olga Pappageorge. He weighed a whopping 10lbs. 3ozs!Raised in Jackson Heights, Queens, he attended Day School of Transfiguration. Elementary and Newtown H.S. His childhood fascination for adrenaline driven outdoor adventures led him to what would be the beginning of Hus life lo g passion of the world of rescue and emergency medicine. In 1993 he became an EMT. In 1995, he joined the ranks of the Fire Sept of New York. This is when I met Jimmy. He did his ambulance rotations on my unit, 46C3. He was a diligent and compassionate EMT. He was what we call a buff. In 1999 he became a Paramedic. His next goal was to become a NYC Firefighter. On July 23 he proudly reported to E fine Com. 23 in Manhattan. He welcomed the challenge of his new duties and he k ewe he would leave a legacy of friendship, professionalism and courage. Six weeks later on 9/11 he did just that; he left a HERO. He leaves to mourn, his Mother Volga and dear sis Helen, an NYPD Detective. He was engaged to Gins Pinos and their Son Justin. They were to celebrate their eight years of love with a wedding in September 2002.
