THE FREDONIA DAILY HERALD, TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 1914

Hannah Alma Fox was born and raised in Madison county, Ohio. The date of her birth was April 17, 1841. In 1862 she went to Illinois and taught school, afterwards returning to Ohio, where she was married to Thomas D. Cantrall of Waynesville, Illinois. To this union were born: Frank R., Charles M., Robert F., and Jessie Mclain Cantrall, three of whom live in this county. Charles M. is a Presbyterian minister and lives in Princeton, New Jersey.

Hannah Alma Fox joined the M. E. church in early life and after she was married she placed her letter in the Presbyterian church in Waynesville, Illinois, with her husband. They made their first home near Waynesville on a farm, living there until 1876 when they sold their farm and moved to Kansas, settling on a half section of land southeast of Fredonia, and improved the same. In 1902 they moved to Fredonia and made their home with the oldest son, Frank where the husband and father died December 25, 1906.

Mrs. Cantrall (more familiarly known as Aunt Alma) together with her husband, have always taken much interest in the welfare of the Presbyterian church here. They were instrumental in organizing the First Presbyterian of this city. On the 26th of October, 1905, the corner stone of the First Presbyterian church of this city was laid by her husband, Thomas D. Cantrall. And now, by the death of Alma F. Cantrall, which occurred November 1, 1914, the last one of the charter members of this church has passed away, and another of the old settlers of Wilson county is gone.

Mrs. Cantrall, also leaves three brothers, one of whom was present at her funeral.

Rev. D. S. Honsaker of Wichita conducted the funeral service at the Presbyterian church today, November 3, at 10 o'clock, and interment was made in Fredonia cemetery.
