Former ONG Official Dies
Thomas E. Cantrall, 72, of 9211 E. 37th Place, retired assistant vice president of Oklahoma Natural Gas Company, died Monday of leukemia in a local hospital.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ninde Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
A veteran of 37 years with ONG, Cantrall worked in oil and gas fields near Chanute, Kansas, until 1942 when he transferred to Oklahoma City. He came to Tulsa in 1943 as Tulsa district operating manager.He became assistant vice president in 1962 and retired the same year.
Cantrall was a veteran of World War 1, a member of the American Legion, and past commander of the VFW in Chanute, Kansas. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Wagoner, was a past president of the Wagoner Rotary Club, and a past officer of the Wagoner Chamber of Commerce.
In recent years he had been living on Lake Gibson.
Surviving are his widow, Bernita; two daughters; a brother, Howard Cantrall of Fredonia, Kansas; two sisters, Mrs. Alma Smith of Chanute, Kansas and Mrs. Lois Perry of Wichita, Kansas and two grandchildren.
