Harold William Bausch, 82, a life-long resident of Bandera County, passed away
Friday, April 5, at Cedar Creek Nursing Home. His wife, Anna Faye, was at his side.
He was born Sept. 27, 1930 at the Bausch Ranch on Winans Creek.

Harold spent his entire life at the ranch with the exception of the time he served
in the military and at the nursing home during a lengthy illness.

Harold showed calves in the Bandera County Junior livestock Show; graduated from
Bandera High School; and honorably served his country in the United States Army.

On June 17, 1956, he married Anna Faye Keese. The couple built a home at the ranch
on Winans Creek where they resided, and Harold farmed and ranched, raising Angora
goats, sheep, and cattle. A member of the Bandera County Farm Bureau and the Cattle
Raisers Association, he also served as a cattle inspector. As an active member of
the Medina Wolf Club, Harold worked diligently to raise funds for predator control.

He enjoyed hunting, trapping and fishing. However, the love of his life was the
Bausch Ranch, which he worked to improve and make more productive.

Both he and Anna Faye are members of the First Baptist Church in Medina where they
were married.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Faye Bausch; sister Irene Stieler; and
sister-in-law Mildred Bausch, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, along with
many friends.

Harold was predeceased by his parents, Henry Bausch and Adela Hohenberger Bausch;
sisters, Norma Hamilton, Alice Buck, Ida Mae Kutzer, Alma Bausch and Elene Bausch;
and brothers, Hugo, Alvin "Buster," Arthur and Lee Henry Bausch.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 9, at Grimes Funeral Chapel in Bandera
with Mr. Martin Smith officiating. Interment followed at Oak Rest Cemetery in
Medina. Allen Stieler, George Hamilton, John Hamilton, Jimmy Kutzer, Alfred Bausch
and Jim Smith served as pallbearers.
