Obituary
Paul John Breaux, 64, passed away on October 24, 2013 after a battle with ALS, Lou Gehrigs Disease. Paul was born on May 12, 1949, in San Antonio to Ervin and Guidora Anne Breaux.
Paul is survived by his wife, Debbie; daughter, Michelle Crittenden and her husband, Jerry; and son, Michael John Breaux and his wife, Fleriza. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Benjamin Michael and Elizabeth Belle Crittenden and Alyssa Noelle Liang and Audrey Renee Breaux. His family was his pride and joy and always cheered him up during his illness. He was predeceased by his grandparents, father and two sisters.
He was a 1967 graduate of Sam Houston High School and then continued his education, going to San Antonio College, Texas Lutheran College, followed by his Masters Degree at the University of Oklahoma and finally graduated in 2009 from Our Lady of the Lake, receiving his Doctorate in Philosophy. Besides his education, he joined the USAF in 1968 and retired after 20 years of service. Following his military service, he was employed at Southwest Research Institute and World Savings. Before his illness, he taught at OLLU. He also was a volunteer with the Pipe Creek Volunteer Fire Dept. and was a licensed Paramedic in Bandera County.
A funeral service will be held at 8:30 AM on Friday, November 1, 2013 at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Bandera with a graveside service to follow at 11:15 AM, with full military honors at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
Our family would like to thank the ALS Association as well as the UTHSC ALS Clinic for all their support during Paul's illness.
