Mrs. Carroll was born February 11, 1913 in Lindale the daughter of the late Edward Collins and Myrtle (Boaz) Humble. She passed away December 14, 2007 in Arlington, Texas. Mrs. Carroll grew up in the Lindale and Swan area and lived in Corsicana for 56 years. She retired from Sears Roebuck in Corsicana after 20 years of service and also worked for Cooper's Shoe Store and Collin Street Bakery in Corsicana. Mrs. Carroll was a member of the First Baptist Church of Corsicana, the WMU, and Eastern Star serving as Worthy Matron in 1965-1966. She married Granville Herbert Carroll on February 11, 1932 in Mineola. He preceded her in death on September 20, 1975.
She is survived by a daughter, 2 sons, 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers Douglas and Ellis Edward Humble, sisters Alice Johnson, and Toben Allen.
