Chester F. Alton Jr., 58, of Syracuse died Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital.
A native of Salina, Kan., Mr. Alton lived in Syracuse for 20 years. He was owner of Chet Alton Tire Co. in Syracuse.
Surviving are his wife, the former Darlene Wagner; five daughters, Cathy M. Barnes of Emporia, Kan., Jennifer Levine of Burlington, Vt., Heather Dibble of Boston and Roxanne and Erin E. Alton, both of Liverpool; three sons, Greg F. of Munnsville, S. Mark of Baldwinsville and John M. of Syracuse; a brother, Mike of Oklahoma City; 11 grandchildren; and a niece and a nephew.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Christ the King Church, Liverpool. Burial will be in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. today at Maurer Funeral Home, 300 Second St., Liverpool.
