Bruce R. Albro, 42, Fairway Lane, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 7, 2011.
Born in Oneida, on Feb. 8, 1969, he was the son of Raymond and Joann Russ Albro. A lifelong resident of the area, Bruce was a graduate of Vernon-Verona-Sherrill High School, Class of 1987 and studied conservation at Madison-Oneida BOCES.
Bruce was employed with Moyer Masonry Company of Oneida as a master mason. He attended Plymouth Alliance Church. Bruce loved the outdoors and spending time at the hunting camp in Old Forge where he was an avid hunter. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle and nephew.
Surviving are his mother, Joann Albro of Sherrill and his father, Raymond Albro of Beverly Hills, Fla.; one sister, De Laine A. Trexler of Parish; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth R. and Angela Albro and Steven E. and Mary Beth Albro, all of Oneida; his companion, Dawn Suppa of Oneida; eleven nieces and nephews, Brian and Rebecca Trexler, Alexis, Joshua, Brandon and Abbey Albro, and Jakob, Kaleb, Lukas, Mikah and Nikole Albro; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday from St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Oneida, with the Rev. Brian Fellows, pastor, officiating. Interment will be made in Valley View Cemetery. Friends may call at the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main St., Oneida, 3-7 p.m. Thursday. Contributions, in his memory, may be made to the Bruce R. Albro Fund c/o NBT Bank, 555 French Road, New Hartford, NY 13413. Envelopes for this fund may be obtained at the funeral home.
