Jacqueline Abundez, 17, of Grandview died Friday, July 4, 2008, in Sunnyside.
She was born April 20, 1991 in Mexico to Simplicio Abundez and Angela Mendoza. She received her education in Sunnyside and Grandview.
She is survived by her mother and step-father, Angela Mendoza and Francisco Ramos of Grandview; one sister, Maria Abundez and one brother, Jose Abundez, both of Sunnyside; and one nephew.
A Rosary will be recited Thursday, July 24, 2008, at 6 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, July 25, 2008, at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sunnyside, with burial to follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens.
Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside is in charge of arrangements. Was found murdered in a Sunnyside canal at the age of 17.
