~*~ The Obituary of Mary Jim Davis ~*~

Mary Jim Davis, age 81, of Mikes Avenue, Greeneville, formerly of Mohawk, died Tuesday morning, August 18, 2009, at her home. Miss Davis was a resident of Greene Valley Developmental Center for many years prior to becoming a resident at Greene County Skills. She was a daughter of the late Jim and Ada Driskill Davis.

Survivors include two nieces and their spouses: Barbara and Randall Chandler of Midway and Suzanne and Joe Max Smith of Morristown; four great-nephews and their wives: Billy and Paula Gail Chandler of Midway, Jimmy and Leia Davis of Russellville, John and Tonia Davis of Old Hickory, TN, Jacob and Tiffany Herrell of Morristown; one great-niece and her husband: Melissa and Joe Batton of Morristown; several cousins; special friends and caregivers with Greene County Skills. She was preceded in death by one brother: Billie Frank Davis; one sister: Inell Herrell; one nephew: Jimmy Herrell.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p. m. Thursday in the Doughty-Stevens Chapel. The Rev. Larry Jones will officiate. Committal services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Friday at Bible Cemetery at Mohawk.

The family will receive friends from 4 - 7 p. m. Thursday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow visitation at 7 o'clock in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Larry Jones will officiate.

A committal service will be held at 11 o'clock Friday morning in Bible Cemetery at Mohawk.


Pallbearers will be Billy Chandler, Jimmy Davis, John Davis, Jacob Herrell, Billy Frank Chandler, Hayden Davis, Joey Chandler, and Cade Davis.
