Could not find burial places for Allen and Martha Patsy Purviance/Chappell. If you can help, please contact me.

Martha was also married to John L. Thompson on 12/26/1850 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama. He was born in 1832 in Georgia and died in 1861 in Alabama. It is possible he died in the Civil War, but they also lived in Alabama at the time, so something else could have caused his death. Could not find a burial place for him - this makes me suspect that he may have been killed in the Civil War, as he was still a young man.

Her children with John L. Thompson were:
Charles A. Thompson, b. 1853,
Malinda Thompson, b. 1855,
Nancy E. Thompson, b. 1859 - d. 1913.

Her children with James Kenneth "Jim" Adamson were:
Margarette Susan Adamson b. 1865, d. 1948,
John William Adamson b. 1867, d. 1933,
Benjamin "Young" Adamson b. 1870, d. 1935
Robert Lee Adamson b. 1884, d. 1902.

Her maiden name is Chappell. She is the daughter of Allen Chappell and Martha "Patsy" (Purviance) Chappell. Her older brother Crosby Dawson Chappell is my 2x great grandfather. (sent by Danelia Chappell )
