Age 76, son of the late Stanley and Cecelia Lijewski Adamczyk. He served with the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II. He was assigned duty as a demolition expert with the military's combat engineers. He was a member of the United Steelworkers and retired as an assembler for Erie City Iron Works-Zurn Industries in 1987 after 35 years.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Clara French; and two brothers, John and Albin Adamczyk.

Survivors include five sisters, Theresa Glaz and her husband Edward, of North Olmsted, Ohio, and Mary Piotrowski, Helen Smith, Gertrude Adamczyk and Florence Santia and her husband Richard, all of Erie; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
