Kenneth Wolford was the son of the late John Wolford and Lucy Fields Wolford of Virginia. Ken joined the US Navy in 1942 and came to Lake City Navel Air Base where he met, fell in love and married his wife, Mable Scofield. Mable was the daughter of Lonnie Owens and Walter Scofield of Lake City. They were married on Jan 29, 1944 at the First Presbyterian Church of Lake City by the Rev. Edward Montgomery. They had three children.

Ken lost his leg coming home after the war in a motorcycle accident. But, that never stopped him from accomplishing anything he set his mind to. He was known for his inventions such as a riding mower and homemade pop-up camper. He helped build a lot of Lake City buildings through his welding skills.
In fact some say there wasn't anything he couldn't fix.

Ken went on to meet his Savior after open heart surgery. He was survived by his loving wife and his three children and their spouses, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
