Eleanor was a genuine Southern lady who was devoted to her immediate and extended family, going out of her way to make time for her many cousins and relatives. She was a dedicated member of her church and enjoyed volunteering at the Christian Service Center of Columbia County. She also helped manage the family farm where she made her home for most of her life.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Lydia Wetherington, her parents Charles and Lillie Owens and her brother Emmett Owens. She is survived by her nephews Richard Owens (Beverly) of Tallahassee, Fl, Patrick Owens (Mary) of Miami, Fl, M.Lynn Owens (Penny) of Burlington, VT and a niece, Kara Owens (Neil) of Los Angeles, CA.
Miss Estess loved God, her family,and her church. We wish to acknowledge a few of her family members even though there are many others.
