Geraldine Myree Laughrey Buck was received in the arms of her Lord May 11, 2017. She was born Sept. 3, 1926, at Okmulgee, OK.
She was preceded in death by parents, Frank I & Della M. Wano; husbands, Lynn "Blackie" Laughrey and Marvin Buck; two brothers, Franklin and Max Wano; four sisters, Baby Ruth, Clara Bridges, Laveta McCraw, and Virginia "Doll" Turk; and stepson, Randy Buck.
She is survived by two daughters, Janice & husband Harold Sullivan and Lola Laughrey; one granddaughter, Janeen & husband Brian Blanton; two great-grandchildren, Caleb and Jordan; four stepchildren, Dawn Bateman, Ryan Buck, Jeneil Torres, and Kerry Buck and spouses; two sisters, Shirley Stafford and Barbara "Susie" Dunn; one brother, Bill & wife Darline Wano; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She attended St. Mary's Academy at Sacred Heart. She was a "Rosie the Riveter" during WWII at Douglas Aircraft. She was a longtime resident of Tonkawa, where she raised her family. She loved the Lord and was a member of Hope Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She will be missed tremendously by all who were blessed enough to have had her in their life. May she rest in peace with her sweet Savior.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 14, 1-5 p.m. and service will be Monday, May 15 at 2 p.m. at Guardian West Funeral Home, 5820 N.W. 41st St., Warr Acres.
