Penelope Davis was the beloved daughter of Ben Davis and Shannon Davis. She was also the cherished sister of her brothers, Chayse (age 9) and Parker (age 7). Penelope will never be forgotten.
On January 18, 2014, Ben and Shannon realized that their 11-month-old daughter, Penelope, had somehow gone blind. Penelope was diagnosed with Stage IV high risk neuroblastoma on January 22, 2014 after a battery of tests. The originating tumor was in her abdomen by her spine. The cancer had spread through her bone marrow to numerous spots on her bones. There were two bigger tumors on her skull, one of which caused Penelope to go blind. She began chemotherapy treatment for her cancer. On May 20, 2014 Penelope went into surgery. She suffered many post-surgery complications including kidney and liver failure. Penelope passed away around 3:30pm on Monday, May 26, 2014 after fighting cancer for just over 4 months. She was 15 months old.
