(CALERA) Shirley Faye Ross, 63, of Calera, Alabama died Monday, April 10, 2006, at Baptist Shelby Hospital in Alabaster, Alabama.
Services will be at Amazing Grace Worship Center on Wednesday at 1 p.m., with burial in Still Cemetery by Elliottsville. She will lie in state from 11 until
the services. The Rev. Ray Smith will officiate.
Mrs. Ross was preceded in death by her parents, Walton and Helen Davenport; and brothers Walt Jr. and Ricky Davenport. Survivors include her devoted husband, Tim; daughter Shelia Faye Ross of Dallas, Georgia., and son, Warren Allen Ross of Powder Springs, Georgia.; sisters Dot Porter of Alabaster, Alabama, Reba Henson of Jemison, Alabama and Pat Bolin of Marietta, Georgia.; brothers Jim "Peanut" Davenport of Sacramento, California., and Harold Davenport, Leonard Davenport and Larry Davenport of Alabaster, Alabama; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and other family members and many friends.
Mrs. Ross worked for Randolph County High School for 10 years as custodian.
Supt. Wayne Wortham said, "She gave away more than she made. Whatever those kids needed, she made sure they had."

She was moved to the Rose Hill Cemetery in Austill, Cobb County, Georgia where her husband will be laid to rest.
