Marvin Andres, 94, of Georgetown passed away at Park Place Care Center on February 28, 2009. He was born on July 23, 1914 in Walburg, Texas to August Paul and Hulda Andres. On January 27, 1935, he married Norma Knauth and they shared 74 years together. They had two children, Richard and Katy. Marvin was a farmer and rancher who spent his life in the Walburg-Georgetown-Jarrell areas. He was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Norma, of Georgetown; a son, Richard, also of Georgetown; a daughter, Katy Whitis, of Salado; two granddaughters, Susan Simpson and husband Chad of Salado and Beth Davis and husband Shaun of Augusta, GA.; and two great-grandchildren, Bristol Davis of Augusta, GA. and Raleygh Simpson of Salado. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Gilbert Andres.
