Jan Abby Beeman, 62, of Georgetown, entered into rest August 5, 2010 in a local care facility surrounded by her loving family. Pastor John Davenport will officiate at the funeral service to be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, August 8, 2010 in The Gabriels Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 393 North IH-35 in Georgetown. The family will receive friends two hours prior beginning at 2:00 pm in the funeral home.

Jan was born July 12, 1948 to Robert Hughes and Jane Mead (Peabody) Beeman in Niagara Falls, New York. She grew up in the Pennsylvania area, she moved to Texas to be close to family. Jan worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for a local roofing company. She loved to spend her free hours in pursuit of her passions, art, painting and sculpting. She loved to read, sew for the family, and tend to her garden also.

Jan is preceded in death by her parents and son, Mark Thomas McClenahan. She is survived by her daughter, Shane and husband David Baylor of Georgetown; brothers, Dr. Robert Beeman and Jonathon and wife Amy Beeman all of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Abbygail McClenahan, Makenna Baylor, and Walker Baylor.
