Jimmy Earl Alley, 59, of Georgetown, entered into rest March 16, 2012.

Jim was born May 12, 1952 to Eddie Otis and Ruth Lennea Ophelia (Mattson) Alley in Elgin, TX. He grew up and attended school in the Austin area. Jim moved to Georgetown 12 years ago to the home he built. He worked as a construction contractor, specializing in concrete work. Jim prided himself in performing demanding work well. Jim was a fun-loving man who loved his grandchildren. He spent hours playing with them and looked forward to every get together. Jim loved to laugh, and he loved to make you laugh with him. Jim had a special gift to build things. He enjoyed making things for his family, especially for his grandchildren. He made toy boxes, rocking chairs, picnic tables, furniture, things that we will have to cherish for many years to come. He recently started a new business to repair and refinish furniture. Up to his last day he worked in his shop. Jim loved the outdoors. He loved to set up deer camp on the back porch every deer season and wait for the right one. Jim also built a greenhouse and planted a garden every spring. Jim worked very hard throughout his life and now God has given him rest.

Jim is preceded in death by; father, Eddie Otis Alley; mother, Ruth Lennea Ophelia Alley; and brother, Otis Leon Alley.

He leaves to cherish his memory; wife, Allison Alley; children, Jason Earl Alley (wife Kristi) , Jimmy Eric Alley (wife Christie), Kristen Alley Kirk (husband John), April Alley Tucker (husband Troy); step-children, Tawnya Lynn Witcher (husband Jason), Trina Lorene Garcia, and Jillian Weir; grandchildren, Joseph, Mariah, Jayden, Kira, Shelby, Jeremy, Johnathan Jr., Aiden, Weston, Kimberly, and Christopher; brother, Eddie Ray Alley; sister, Angela Annette Alley; nieces, Jana & Kimberly; nephew, AJ; in-laws, James & Mary Click; brother-in-law Bill and sister- in-law Karen; and many more dear family and friends.

The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Gabriels Funeral Chapel in Georgetown with the funeral service being held at 12:00 pm.
