Gertrude M. Alberts, 65, of 606 E. Morrell St., died at 4:40 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, 1990, at Monte Casino Healthcare Center, Toluca.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday with a mass of Christian burial at St. Stephen's Church.

Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Winterrowd Funeral Home. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

Born Aug. 1, 1925, in Streator, she was the daughter of John and Mary (Kracun) Kacmar. She married Kenneth Alberts on April 4, 1956, in Streator. He died Dec. 12, 1969.

Surviving are a son, Darryl Alberts, of Rural Route 3, Streator; a daughter, Louise (Mrs. Willis) Winn, of Burlington, Wis.; five grandchildren; a brother, John Kacmar, of Streator; a sister, Ann (Mrs. Walter) Alberts, of Streator; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Ed, and a sister, Mary Dady.

A lifetime resident of Streator, she was formerly employed by Thatcher Glass Mfg. Co., retiring in 1971. She was a member of St. Stephen's Church, Streator Eagles Club, Moose Lodge and Knights of Columbus.

Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
