Nick passed away on the morning of 18th September 1989 from a heartattack. At the time he was living with his partner Robyn Birch in Koromiko Street, New Lynn, Auckland. Nick was the middle son of Douglas Henry Flatt (deceased 12/2/1978) & Joyce Rosina Flatt (deceased 12/6/1998). Nick is survived by his elder brother Paul Christopher Flatt and younger sister Carol Flatt
