Beattyville - Ben Creech, 53, Williba, died at 4:20 p.m. Monday at the Veterans Hospital, Lexington, after a short illness. A World War II veteran, he was a farmer.
Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Julia Creech, Williba; five sisters, Miss Roxie Creech, Newtonsville, Ohio; Mrs. Janie Ethel Spivey and Mrs. Inez Hollon, Williba; Mrs. Nellie Stevens, Leonard, Mich., and Mrs. Ollie McDonald, Tampa, Fla., and five brothers, Jim Creech, Williba; Tom Creech, Berkley, Mich.; Tunis Creech, Troy, Mich.; Junis Creech, Batavia, Ohio, and Willie Creech, Centralia, Wash.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Canyon Falls Evangelical Congregational Church by the Rev. Earl Troupe. Burial will be in the Creech Cemetery. The body is at the Newnam Funeral Home where friends may call after 3 p.m. today.
