Louis R. Balboni, of Avon, passed away Jan. 12, surrounded by his loving family. He was 80 years old. Born in Boston, Louis was raised and educated in West Roxbury. He was a resident of Avon for 45 years, where he was a town meeting member and also served on the Finance Committee. Louis retired from Franklin Sports in Stoughton. Louis served as a U.S. Marine for 6 years in the Korean War and was a life member of USMC Shutt Detachment in Watertown and a member of the Avon VFW. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and traveling to Aruba. He was the beloved husband of Josephine (Simonelli) Balboni; loving father of Linda Tracy and her husband Tim of Watertown, and the late Kimberly Miller and her husband Chip and Jo Ann Balboni; devoted brother of the late Angelo Balboni and Marion Mistretta; dear grandfather of Kaitlin, Kristen, and the late Elizabeth Tracy; son of the late Igino and Rose (DiIorio) Balboni. After the passing of his parents, Louis was raised by his aunt and uncle, Sentina and Michael DiIorio. He was the stepbrother of Sophie DeGrazio of Norwood, Edward DiIorio of Dedham, and the late Claire Mantovani and Lillian DiIorio. Also survived by many relatives and friends. Funeral from the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rte. 28), Randolph, Friday at 9:15 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at St. Michaels Church, Avon, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 p.m. Interment St. Michaels Cemetery, Avon. In lieu of flowers, donations in Louiss name can be made to the Miller/Tracy Childrens Foundation, P.O.
