Clarence delivered petroleum products for 42 years to the surrounding farming communities. He was an outstanding member in the Forreston Lions Club earning the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award. He was a Past District Governor for District 1-D. He was very involved in his community and was a recipient of the Forreston Citizen of the Year Award. Clarence was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan taking his children and grandchildren to games and to Platteville for the Bears Training Camp.
Clarence loved attending all of his grandchildren’s sporting events. He was kind and loving to all of his family and pets, especially Petey. He loved nature which could be seen at his farmhouse with all the beautiful flowers he planted and the big gardens he grew. He treated everyone he met with great kindness and respect.
Surviving are his wife, Shelby Sneek; children, Shelia (Charles) Steinhauser, Mark (Marissa) Sneek, Dawn (Richard) Anderson and Wendy (Scott) Burns; 10 grandchildren, Kevin (AnMarie) Steinhauser, Amber (Jason) Harlen, Adam Sneek, Hayden Sneek, Shannon (Kevin) Lattin, Ashley (Kevin) Palmer, Whitney Watson (Kyle Kible), Brandon Sneek (Sarah Logemann), Eric (Katie) Sneek and Brittany Burns; sister, Shirley (Alfred) Person; sister-in-law, Sharon Rouse; 5 great-grandchildren, 3 step great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchildren, 2 step great-great grandchildren, and 1 step-grand child.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, son, Matthew; mother and father in-laws, William and Violet Benoy; brother-in-law, Neil Rouse; and son-in-law, Jerry Watson.
Memorial services were held Saturday February 25, 2017 at Forreston Reformed Church. Ken Renkes will officiate.
