Ethel Geraldine (Saylor) Lapp, of West Liberty, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2017 in her home surrounded by her family.
Geraldine was born on June 3, 1939 to Robert and Ethel (Fullerton) Saylor, who preceded her in death.
She grew up on the family farm in Belle Center, Ohio and moved to West Liberty, Ohio when she wed Mark Lapp on July 28, 1968. She was a wonderful homemaker and a caretaker to many. She spent the majority of her life devoted to helping Mark run the family farm. Her great joys were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved working in her flower gardens, watching her children/grandchildren's sporting events and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Saylor; sisters-in-law, Barbara Saylor, Mary Neer; brothers-in-law, David Yoder, Daniel Lapp, Paul Lapp; and nephews, Richie Saylor and Donald Saylor.
Geraldine will be honored in a private graveside service for her immediate family.
