Married the former Hazel I. Fehler in Rockford, June 5, 1954. Employed as service representative by Commonwealth Edison Co. 38 years. World War II Army veteran. Confirmed member of Trinity Lutheran Church; also member Harmony Singing Society.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary (Janelle) and Jerry (LuAnn); a grandson Jason; and a brother, Gaylord; three sisters, Marilyn Thornquist, Harriett Burman and Jeane Rawson. Predeceased by parents and a sister, Shirley Swanson.
