Deanna Ruth Vaniman Jaglowski (Dee), 74, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at her home in Pocatello, Idaho of Hodgkins Lymphoma.

Deanna was born May 8, 1943 in Altadena, California to Russell E. and H. Maxine Vaniman. She was the first of 2 children, her younger brother, Ed Vaniman proceeded her in death 9 years ago. Growing up, she loved riding her horse and was a true California girl. She graduated from Pasadena High School in 1961. Dee attended Woodbury College where she participated in an honors Sorority Alpha Iota. She made and cherished many lifelong friendships there. Dee met Mahlon Maurice Jaglowski or Ski as everyone knew him in 1965. They were married a year later in Pasadena at Lake Avenue Congregational Church. They moved to Edison, New Jersey and loved to host family members who came to visit the East Coast. They moved back to California in 1975 living in Pasadena and then finally settling in Apple Valley in 1979. She lived there for almost 30 years. Deanna was a homemaker for most of her young married life. In 2000 she started work for the County of San Bernardino at the Victor Valley Clinic as a clerk. She called it her home away from home and a big part of her life. She retired in 2009 and moved to Pocatello, Idaho. She was baptized a member of the LDS church when she was 70.

Survivors include her son, Michael (&Wendy) Jaglowski of Pocatello, David (Jags) (&Tonya) Jaglowski of Newbury Park, California. She leaves 9 grandchildren plus 2 step-grandchildren who were the light of her life.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Satterfield LDS Stake Center. The family will receive friends at a gathering that will be held one hour prior at the church. Her remains will be cremated and ashes interred with her children. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Wilks Funeral Home 211 W. Chubbuck Road.
