Musician. Drummer for the influential 1960s rock band, "Jefferson Airplane." He was a nephew of legendary film pioneer-silent film comedian Charlie Chaplin. Throughout much of the 1970s, he played drums with the country-rock band New Riders of the Purple Sage. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996 as a member of Jefferson Airplane.
