Lawrence (Larry) Richard Bennett

Larry passed away Friday, Jan. 14, 2005, after a brave battle with cancer.

He was born Sept. 25, 1962. After graduating from Tooele High in 1980 he went to work at the Tooele Army Depot, where he participated in Operation Desert Storm. He later left the Army Depot to work in construction before finding a career in bartending in Wendover where he resided for the last years of his life.

He had a big heart and was loved by friends all over Utah and Nevada. He loved NASCAR, trap shooting, hunting, fishing and was an avid Oakland Raiders fan. He served as president of the Tooele Fraternal Order of Eagles # 164 where he was one of the youngest past presidents, and enjoyed competing in ritual.

He is survived in death by his parents Gene and Jeanne Bennett, his brothers Chuck, Matt (Alycia) and Craig, and one sister Leslie Schulz (Brian). He had one nephew and four nieces and is preceded in death by his mother, Jean Adair, and both sets of grandparents. At Larry’s request he will be cremated and there will be no services.
