Wilma Hays was born August 22, 1927 in Des Moines, Iowa.Wilma married William A. Needham in 1944 he passed away in 1977. She moved to Portland in 1967 She was employed for years with Bess Kaiser Hospital and St Vincents Medical Center where she was a sterile processing technician. She was a great woman to work with and had a wonderful sense of humor she is fondly remembered and missed in the department to this day and her coat hook still bears her name in the break room. Whenever we use the hook it is another opportunity to remember Wilma our fallen co-worker.
Survivors include her daughters, Denise Becker and Debra A. Needham; sons, William Jr., Mark R. and James E.; sister, Carolyn Monroe; brother Ivan Hays; 17 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
