REMEMBER REMEMBER THE 5TH OF NOVEMBER
~~*~~ that was when Jim Kingrey passed into the loving embrace of Jesus! He and his lovely wife Jean had gone to Gainesville from Orlando so that Jim could undergo a hospital treatment at Shands Hospital, which was scheduled for the 31st of October, to treat a rare skin cancer which he was plagued with.
~~On the 30th of October Jim suffered a massive stroke he left this earth 6 days later.

James 'Jim' William Kingrey, son of Darrell Wm Kingrey (Ohio) & Ruth Earnestine of Ashland, KY, born 7 Dec 1939 at home in Huntington, WV; moved to Sarasota, FL, at the age of 9.He was the stepson of a wonderful man George Peters, he Graduated from Sarasota Hi, served in US Navy then attended Southwestern Nazarene College in Bethany, OK. As a bi-voc ordained minister in Church of Nazarene,he served as the director of children's ministry. He was employed in space industry, before retiring to serve as houseparent in teen group homes in FL & GA, worked in real estate/insurance field for 30 yrs. His beautiful tenor voice was an addition to choral groups in high school, college & church as well as in duet with his wife. His volunteer activities included political campaigns/county exec comm, Kiwanis, Am Heart Assoc, Scouting, & church deacon boards/youth choral groups. An avid GATOR fan, he enjoyed fishing & camping. Survived by wife of 50 yrs, 'Jean' Wanzo; daus - Julie/Douglas Gracey, Middleburg, FL, & Joice Gardner, Deltona, FL; sons - James II/Gina, Homer, AK, & Jonathan/Sandy, Camden, TN; grands - Derik/Jamie Gracey; Jennifer Gracey/Nathan Columbus; Jillian Gracey/Jacob Columbus; Jacob & Elizabeth Gardner; Katie Kingrey/David Mills; Skyler, Kenley, Bryan, Hunter, & Ashley Kingrey; great grands - Nehemiah Hobbs & Joselyn Gracey; step-grands-Jeremy & Tracy; plus special niece, Lucy Johnson & beloved Bassett companion, Chester. Also survived by sisters - 'Polly' Imhoff, SC; Theresa/Mike Allison, NC; bros - 'Jack'/Ada, CO; Kenny/Judy Petrs, NC; bros-in-law - Hal & Art Wanzo; sis-in-law - Loretta Waugh; several neices & nephews; MANY cousins, & BELOVED stepfamily - PETERS clan, Sarasota, FL & beyond. Jim never knew a stranger so he will be missed by many friends as well. Preceded in death by infant child. There were no funeral services - his body was donated to College of Medical Services, Univ of FL, Gainesville, FL. A godly man of superb Southern manners has left our midst........
