Kyle Wilks of Rogers, Arkansas was a 2002 Rogers High School graduate where he played football his sophomore year. He also played trombone in the Elmwood Junior High School band. He worked at Lowe's in Rogers after graduation and was a server at Dixie Cafe in Rogers while in high school. He was friendly, funny and outgoing. Kyle had served in the Marines since 2004 and was stationed from Camp Lejeune, N.C., with the II Marine Expeditionary Force. His career plans after he left the military was possibly going into some sort of law enforcement. The first thing people noticed about Kyle was his height. At 6 foot 2 inches, he also had an amazing smile. He was in a convoy of 36 vehicles in the Kandahar province when the vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device at age 24.
