Matthew was born in Fresno, California on September 9, 1991, and passed away in Fresno on Thursday, April 19, 2007, at the age of 15.
He was a student at Carter G. Woodson High School.
Matthew loved to sing and dance and make us laugh.
All he wanted was for everyone to be happy and smiling.
He loved us a lot, and was never afraid to show it.
Matthew we love you very much.

Matthew is survived by his parents, Abraham and Rosalinda Hernandez; siblings, Jessie Solis, Angel Solis, Vincent Solis, Patricia Alvarez and her husband David, David Hernandez and Michael Hernandez; 11 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Palm Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, April 24, 2007, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 25, 2007, 11:00 a.m.
Interment will follow at Sanger District Cemetery.

He was on his bicycle and was apparently racing to cross railroad tracks prior to the arrival of an oncoming freight train; at the Santa Fe crossing, at the Shields and Wishon intersection.
An eyewitness in a car questioned his wife if Mat "had made it" then saw a shoe fly into the air and knew the worst. What a tragedy!
