Amelia was the daughter of Christian and Margaret Fink. 1870 and 1880 census shows she has a sister named Sophia.

Married Joseph Mueth August 31, 1884. They had a son named Joseph, who was age 11 at the time. They lived on Dorcas Street. Her husband was employed by Anheuser-Busch Brewery.

Died at age 28. Died at City Hospital from Paris-Green Poisoning (arsenic) which she took due to despondency over the death of her infant daughter, Josephina, aged 4 months. The media indicated that Josephina was her only child, but they had 4 prior children.
