Actor. He began his career on the London stage and achieved popularity in the mid 1950s, after making 39 appearances on the television series, "The Adventures of Robin Hood". He made his film debut in "The Mummy" (1959) and went on to appear in "Waterloo" (1970), "Young Winston" (1972), "The Gamekeeper" (1980), "A View to a Kill" (1985) and "The Princess Bride" (1987). In the late 1980s, he appeared as a regular in the BBC drama "Howards' Way". He died of cancer in Salisbury, Wilshire, England.
