Actor. He made his first film appearance at age 23 in "Charlie Chan in Rio" (1941), after signing with 20th Century-Fox. He appeared in many World War II themed B films before landing lead roles in "The Bride Goes Wild" (1948) and "Joan of Arc" (1948). His other credits include "When Worlds Collide" (1951), "The Invisible Avenger" (1958), "Terror is a Man" (1959), "The Drowning Pool" (1975), "American Gigolo" (1980) and "Firefox" (1982). He also had a successful career in television appearing on series such as "The Ford Theatre Hour", "Kraft Theatre", "Perry Mason", "Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color", "Star Trek", "Barnaby Jones" and "Dallas". He died of cancer at the age of 73.
