William is my Grandad.

His parents are John William White and Mary Bridget Shaungnessy.

Born in Cloghan, Offaly and died in Banagher, Offaly Ireland.

Married Agnes on 7th June 1933 at Saint Brendan's Catholic Church, Birr, County Offaly, Ireland.

Father to 10 Children.

William served in the Great War, in which he suffered from Lock-Jaw and was almost buried alive. He also had a metal plate in his head due to an injury from the Great War.

William and his brothers, including 2 brother in laws served in World War One with the Connaught Rangers. Amazingly, they all returned.
