SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. FRED DRAHN

Emilie Elizabeth Kaiser, daughter of Wm. Kaiser and Augusta, nee Groth, was born Oct. 4, 1876 at National, Iowa, Farmersburg Twp. She was baptized in November, 1876 and confirmed Oct. 26, 1890, at the National Lutheran Church by Rev. Johannes Graening. She received her education in the rural school of the community.

On Nov. 24, 1898, she was united in marriage with Fred G. Drahn. They observed 67 years of wedded life. After their marriage, they moved to a farm at Froelich, and later moved to a farm 4 miles southeast of Monona, moving to Monona in 1943.

Mrs. Drahn had been quite frail for a year and on Sat., Feb. 18, she entered Memorial Hospital at Prairie du chien where she passed away on March 1, at the age of 90 years 4 months and 25 days.

Funeral services were held Sat. afternoon, March 4, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Monona, with Rev. R. E. Langholz officiating. Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery.
